Whatever brings you here, you're welcome. You don't need to have it all figured out — many people simply know they're struggling and that's enough. Below are some of the areas I commonly work with, though this list is not exhaustive. If you don't see your concern here, please do reach out.
Anxiety Counselling
Persistent worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder — anxiety can feel paralysing and all-consuming. Counselling helps you understand what underlies your anxiety and build practical, sustainable tools to manage it. Many clients find that even understanding the mechanism of anxiety begins to reduce its power.
Depression
Low mood, lack of motivation, withdrawal from the things and people you used to enjoy, persistent sadness or emptiness — depression affects every part of daily life. Counselling provides a compassionate, consistent space to begin to understand and gently lift these feelings, however long they've been present.
Grief & Bereavement
The loss of someone dear, miscarriage, pet loss, or any other form of loss — grief is deeply personal and takes many shapes. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. I provide a safe, unhurried space where you can express whatever is present, and where grief can be held with care and compassion.
Stress
Work pressure, burnout, financial stress, life demands, caring responsibilities — stress accumulates and takes a serious toll on our mental and physical health. Together we identify the sources of your stress, explore your relationship with it, and build sustainable strategies that actually fit your life.
Trauma
Past experiences — whether recent or from long ago — that continue to affect how you feel, think and behave in the present. Trauma doesn't have to be a single dramatic event; it can be the accumulation of difficult experiences. Therapy provides a safe container to gently process what happened and move beyond it, entirely at your own pace.
Low Self-Esteem & Confidence
Persistent negative self-talk, imposter syndrome, difficulty valuing yourself or your achievements, a deep sense of not being good enough — low self-esteem affects how we relate to ourselves and everyone around us. Counselling supports you in building a kinder, more accurate and compassionate sense of who you truly are.
Relationship Difficulties
Difficulties with a partner, family members, friends or colleagues — relationship patterns that repeat across your life. Understanding how we relate to others is central to humanistic counselling. We explore your relational history and patterns, helping you to relate to others in healthier, more fulfilling ways.
Work & Life Stress
Redundancy, career change, workplace conflict, burnout, life transitions such as retirement or becoming a parent — major life changes can destabilise our sense of self and purpose. Counselling helps you process the change and rediscover your direction.
