Making sense of who you are and how you experience the world

Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice

I work with neurodiverse clients, providing a supportive space to explore challenges, strengths and personal growth — without trying to change who you are.

I support individuals navigating life following a recent diagnosis, including seeking a better understanding of themselves and what it means going forward.

Support that starts from understanding, not fixing

Neurodiversity-affirming counselling starts from the understanding that autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent minds are not broken versions of a "typical" mind — they simply work differently. My role is not to make you fit a mould, but to help you understand yourself more fully and find ways of living that genuinely work for you.

For many people, a diagnosis — whether in childhood or adulthood — raises as many questions as it answers. What does this mean for me? Does this explain things I've struggled with for years? How do I talk about this with the people around me? Counselling offers a space to sit with these questions without pressure, and at whatever pace feels right.

Together we explore the impact of neurodivergence on everyday life — relationships, work and wellbeing — while identifying your strengths and developing strategies that promote confidence, self-acceptance and self-awareness.

Wherever you are in your journey

You might be newly diagnosed and processing what that means. You might have always known you experience the world differently but never had the words or support to explore it. Or you might be a parent, partner or family member trying to better understand someone close to you.

This space is for autistic adults and teenagers, those with ADHD, and anyone who identifies as neurodivergent — whatever that means for you. There's no need to have a formal diagnosis to benefit from this support; what matters is that you feel understood and met where you are.

Building strategies that work for you

1

Understanding Yourself

Whether you're newly diagnosed or exploring neurodivergence for the first time, we take time to understand how your mind works — your strengths as well as your challenges — without judgement.

2

Exploring Everyday Impact

We look at how neurodivergence shows up in your daily life — relationships, work, study, sensory experiences and wellbeing — and what support might help in each of these areas.

3

Strategies & Self-Acceptance

Together we develop practical, personalised strategies for everyday life, while building confidence, self-acceptance and a stronger sense of who you are.
