Hello and a warm welcome. I'm Aly, a Humanistic Counsellor and Wingwave Coach based in Maidstone, Kent. I offer therapy face to face at the Maidstone Community Support Centre, and online to clients across the UK.

"I am passionate about people being in a better place to where they may be when seeking therapy — living the life they want to live."

I aim to build a genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel truly valued and heard. I offer a safe, warm, non-judgemental space in which we explore your emotions together — at your pace, in your own time.

I truly believe that each person is unique and has the capacity for positive change and personal growth. That's why I tailor therapy entirely to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. You are the expert on your own life — my role is to walk alongside you, not lead you.

Counselling can be hard work — it's emotional and often challenging — but you won't be alone. Change can feel scary, but it can also be exciting. I'm here to help you discover your strengths and the peace you deserve.

I hold a Humanistic Counselling Diploma and am a qualified Wingwave Coach. I have loved volunteering with the Samaritans and Mind (Mid Kent), working extensively with people experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. I strongly believe in Continuing Professional Development and am constantly seeking to enhance my practice.

I also offer a free 15-minute initial consultation — a no-pressure opportunity to share what's brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and see whether we're a good fit before committing to sessions.

What is Humanistic Counselling?

Humanistic counselling is a person-centred approach rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity to grow, heal and change. Rather than diagnosing or directing, I focus on you as a whole person — your thoughts, feelings, experiences and the meaning you make of them.

The approach is non-directive: sessions are led by you. I provide the conditions — empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness — that allow natural healing to take place. There is no fixed number of sessions and no agenda other than your wellbeing.

You don't need to be in crisis

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be finding life hard to cope with, struggling with relationships, grief, anxiety or depression. Or you may simply want to understand yourself better and make positive changes.

Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Most people seek counselling because they want to change their life or themselves in some way — and that is something to be celebrated.
